Why was it created?

This card deck contains affirmations and empowering thoughts that many of us wish we had heard throughout our childhood from the people who shaped our lives.

Positive affirmations can give us lasting strength, confidence, and trust in ourselves. They help us understand that we are capable of facing life’s challenges and discovering the inner resources we all carry within us.

How can you use it in everyday life?

Ages 4–7

For younger children, the illustrations will speak first. Adults can help them understand the affirmations and translate them into their own language. Talk together about the images and the emotions they express. Bring examples from everyday life. Children in this age group often learn the affirmation sentences surprisingly easily.

Ages 8–10

Children in this age group can begin interpreting the affirmations together with adults. Talk about which cards remind them of experiences in their own lives and when such affirmations might have been helpful. Share your own experiences as well.

Place favorite affirmations and images somewhere visible—on a wall or shelf—so they remain in sight and children can draw strength from them whenever they need it.

Age 11 and above

Older children can easily use the cards on their own and recall the affirmations whenever they need them—both now and later in life.

These affirmations can also inspire us adults. Reflect on which of these messages we received as children—and which ones we are still learning as adults.
