Why was it made?

When my daughter was born, I plastered our home with positive affirmations. I knew, and science confirms: words and images have a deeper impact then than at any other time in our lives. From this personal experience, the Pregnancy and Childbirth card deck was born — so that every expecting mother receives the same support that meant so much to me.

A year after giving birth, I experienced firsthand that there is also a great need for affirmations on the emotional rollercoaster of becoming a mother — even more so. The postpartum period, sleepless nights, moments of self-doubt — these are all situations in which a simple sentence can truly change how a mother experiences her day. Thus, the Postpartum and Motherhood card deck was born.
